Upload your own artwork or start from a template, then place names, dates, QR codes and seals by drag and drop.

Issue one by one, from a spreadsheet, through the API, from your LMS, or let people request their certificate through a form.

Every credential gets a public page that checks the signature, expiry and revocation live. No login, no phone calls.

See what happens after you issue: opened, viewed, downloaded, added to LinkedIn and shared.
Trust
Meritleaf signs every credential with a key that belongs to your institution. Anyone can check it independently, and it keeps working even if you change platform.
Your organisation's key signs each credential the moment it is issued.
The recipient keeps a public page, a PDF with a QR code, a LinkedIn entry and the signed file.
Anyone checks the signature against your public key. Any Open Badges 3.0 verifier can do it too.
Withdraw a credential and every later check shows it, without revealing anyone else's status.
For institutions
Awarding bodies, universities and professional institutes need more than a certificate generator. They need control over who issues, evidence of every decision, and credentials that survive an audit.

Why institutions switch
| Need | What buyers report today | With Meritleaf |
|---|---|---|
| Price clarity | Prices only after a sales call, onboarding fees, and long contracts. | Public prices, a free plan and no onboarding fee. |
| Add-ons | Custom branding, your own sender name and a verified issuer badge sold separately. | Branding, sender name and verification are part of every plan. |
| Open standards | Older badge formats that a third party cannot check on its own. | Signed Open Badges 3.0 by default, verifiable with any compatible tool. |
| Leaving | Exports that leave the credentials behind, so switching takes months. | Full export of signed credentials whenever you want it. |
| Mistakes | A typo in a spreadsheet becomes a wrong certificate in someone's inbox. | Every row is checked before anything is sent, and corrections reissue cleanly. |

Global by design

Questions
It is the current open standard for digital credentials, built on W3C Verifiable Credentials. Each credential is cryptographically signed, so anyone can check it without contacting you. You do not need to understand the technology: Meritleaf signs every credential this way and explains it to recipients in plain language.
You can export everything at any time as signed files and a spreadsheet, and those files keep verifying with any standards-based tool. After an account closes, its verification pages stay online for 12 months so recipients are not left with broken links.
Export your recipients from the old platform as a spreadsheet, create a template in Meritleaf, and upload the file. Meritleaf checks every row before issuing. On the Business plan we do the migration with you. Start before your old contract ends, because some platforms remove access when an account is cancelled.
Yes. Each template can have a public request form. Requests wait in a queue for your approval, or are issued instantly to people who enter an access code you gave them.
Every template has its own trigger link. Any LMS, Zapier or Make workflow that can send a webhook can issue a credential when a course is completed. There is also a full REST API with webhooks on every plan, including Free.
